Cayor Project description

In the first stage, Technip Energies Mining and Metal Business Unit prepared a technical report and a resource deposit estimate in accordance with the international standard for the assessment of the scope and quality of exploration and geological works on the Ndande-East phosphate deposit, (Republic of Senegal). In the next stage, at the end of 2019, Technip Energies was authorized to conduct a Scoping Study (JORC code compilant 2012) for the phosphate deposit in the vicinity of the city of Kebemer a phosphate project called Cayor. 

The Cayor project is passing several key phases: 

• FEL 1 scoping study: the concept study confirmed the viability of the overall project

• The Bankable Feasibility Study will prove and precise the CAPEX, OPEX, and profitability of the project

• The project financial closure 

• The Full EPC - lump sum turnkey - Open Book Estimate - execution of the project, until its full startup and at spec production of Phosphoric Acid. 

The essence of the exclusive partnership between CPM and Technip Energies is to secure the project for all investors, by placing the burden of the project risks (CAPEX, schedule and performance) on Technip Energies, a financially strong group, and experienced EPC contractor reputed for succeeding in complex projects execution and startup (up to 20 bn USD): delivered on time, in budget, and performing at or above guaranteed values. The recent and ongoing references of the YAMAL and ARCTIC LNG projects are evidencing this capability
