Cayor key facts
The Cayor phosphate project is located close to the town of Kébémer (situated at 160km in the North of Dakar city) within the west-central part of the Senegal-Mauritania-Guinea sedimentary basin.
It consists in an exploration licence covering 637.48km². It includes:
- A mine to extract the phosphate Ore with the mineable potential estimate
- A beneficiation plant to produce phosphate concentrate for feeding the chemical complex
- A chemical complex comprising a sulphuric acid plant and a phosphoric acid plant to produce phosphoric acid
